Be Cancer Aware

Be Cancer Aware Campaign

Our local ABC campaign has now come to an end; see attached link for the evaluation:

Cancer Evaluation

We worked with Albion in the Community (the charitable arm of Brighton and Hove Albion Football Club) on the campaign between 2012 - 2015. Called the ABC campaign, it aimed to help increase our chances of surviving cancer by increasing awareness of the signs and symptoms of cancer and encouraging people to visit their GP as early as possible to increase their chances of survival. We also promoted local cancer screening services.

More than a quarter of a million people are diagnosed with cancer in the UK each year. The earlier a cancer is found, the more likely it is that treatment will be successful. Knowing what changes to look for and when to see your GP could make a real difference.
