Alcohol awareness week (16-22 November)

The theme for Alcohol Awareness Week this year is Alcohol and Mental Health. The pandemic has made this year particularly stressful and in times of stress we can find ourselves drinking more often or more heavily. On top of that, many of our routines have changed, which can make it hard to keep on top of how much we’re drinking. Over time, drinking in this way can leave us feeling worse. There are lots of options available to support you to take back control. The online DrinkCoach service is free to West Sussex residents and an app with tools to help you track and change your drinking, plus one-to-one Skype sessions with a specialist ‘DrinkCoach’, available 7 days-a-week, including evenings.

Alcohol Wellbeing Advisors are available across West Sussex. They provide one-to-one alcohol early intervention support, which is currently being offered by telephone, video calling and text. Visit our Contact us page to get in touch.
