The Wellbeing Team are getting behind National Hydration Day on Sunday 23rd June by raising awareness of the importance of hydration throughout the week commencing 17th June.
Tea, coffee, energy drinks and alcohol make us urinate more so we might become dehydrated if we don't replace the fluid we lose...drinking plain water is the best way of hydrating yourself.
Did you know?
Water is FREE, calorie-free and vital for life
Some of the benefits of drinking water...
Check how hydrated you are, using the chart below:
Try to drink the recommended 2.5 litres for men and 2.0 litres for women - if you are worried about needing to use the loo all the time because of increased water intake, check out where the public toilets are on this handy map of the local area.
You can spice up your water with fruit and/or herbs. You can also EAT your water! Fruit, veg and soup all have high water content.
Try to make drinking more water a habit and feel the benefits!
