Sussex prisoners' families

Sussex Prisoners' Families support local families to cope emotionally and practically with the imprisonment of a loved-one. They support families, advise professionals and give children and young people a voice.

Do you know someone facing a prison sentence? Are you coping alone? Need help talking to children? Concerned about paying bills? Worried about going to court or visiting a prison? Do you want to talk things through? Sussex Prisoners' Families offer drop-in sessions and Family Support Groups - find out more on the Sussex Prisoners' Families  website. They also offer free 'Families Together' events for family members such as comedy nights or pantomimes to be able to bring family members together and have some fun!

The new Families Connected forum is a digital platform for prisoners' families to access practical advice about prison visits, alongside peer-to-peer support and emotional reassurance. It is a safe space for families to access information and talk openly and non-judgmentally to other families affected by a partner, friend or family member who has gone to prison.

Access the forum through the website or email Danielle for a link and more info.
