West Sussex Trading Standards Service helps protect the long term health of residents by disrupting the supply of cheap illicit uncontrolled tobacco, and to ensure such products are not being made available to young people.
This area of work is intelligence led and targeted to any areas (or traders) of particular concern across West Sussex. Intervention strategies are developed in response to emerging issues and may involve the use of traditional enforcement tools such as test purchasing by children, through to supporting responsible retailer schemes and the use of sniffer dogs.
